Gov. Roy Cooper has appointed Brewster W. Brown of Southern Shores to the North Carolina Marine Industrial Park Authority. He is appointed as a resident of area where park is located.

Brown owns B&C Antiques on the Outer Banks. He served as dean of continuing education at Roanoke Chowan Community College from 1984-2001 and as a North Carolina House Representative from 1987-1989.
