Another COVID-19 related death reported in Pasquotank County

A novel coronavirus, named Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), was identified as the cause of an outbreak of respiratory illness first detected in Wuhan, China in 2019. The illness caused by this virus has been named coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Albemarle Regional Health Services announced on August 7 that it had received notification confirming an additional death associated with COVID-19 in a Pasquotank County resident.
The individual was in the 50-64 year age range and succumbed to complications from COVID-19. “To protect the family’s privacy, no further information about this patient will be released,” stated an ARHS press release.
ARHS is continuing to ask our community citizens to be mindful in practicing preventive and safety measures.
