Laurie Ann Perry, 57, of Manteo, died August 12, 2020. She was born on March 19, 1963, graduated from Manteo High School and attended classes at Brevard College. She completed her CNA 2 certification from COA and taught at Wanchese Christian Academy.

She is survived by son Shane Perry and his family: wife Danielle and children Kaley, Jackson, Ollie and twins Willow and Stella; her parents Lillie Rowland and Jimmy Basnight; stepparents John Rowland and Hazel Basnight; siblings Jamie Hatchell, Misty Curles, Michael Basnight, Abby Basnight, Tom Basnight and Zack Basnight; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will celebrate her life privately at a later date.
