The Miss Oregon Inlet Headboat hosted the 6th Annual Youth Fishing Tournament on Friday, August 7 at Oregon Inlet Fishing Center. Forty-two kids took a three-hour fishing trip and competed within the two age groups (6-10 and 11-14) for the first fish, most fish and biggest fish.
Each child was given a Miss Oregon Inlet t-shirt, stickers, a participation medal and a fishing pole. This event was sponsored by Kitty Hawk Kites, Oregon Inlet Fishing Center and Island Insurance Agency.
All proceeds from the tournament were donated to Crosstrail Outfitters. A check for $1,000 was accepted by Crosstrail Outfitters director Mike Johnson.
