Dare County Board of Education will meet at First Flight High School at 3 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 20.

This special meeting agenda includes a closed meeting about personnel and an hour workshop with attorney Richard Schwartz about changes to Title IX regulations.

The board will consider and approve numerous proposed policy updates, including 10 new policies in order to comply with new Title IX regulations issued by the U.S. Department of Education. Five revised policies are listed, as well as two rescinded policies.

In the consent agenda is a budget resolution for Fiscal Year 2021, a revised school tour schedule, school nutrition bids and out-of-district transfers.
