Wise old owl? “Actually, this great horned owl is not that old,” said Roanoke Island Animal Clinic’s Dr. Mark Grossman.

“The youngster probably flew into a car, branch or window and got stunned. He’s already at rehabber Lou Browning for rehab and eventual release.”

Here, veterinary technician Katie Stewart hold the bird for physical examination, which Grossman said “went great.”
