Steven “Bull” Roy Bailey, 42, of Manteo, died August 24, 2020.

Born in Warren, Ohio on November 5, 1977, he was the son of Sandy Ross Bailey and Shelby Smith Bailey of Newton Falls, Ohio.

Bull was a master mechanic working for Flatiron. Dedicated and loyal, he was a firefighter and board member of the Roanoke Island Volunteer Fire Department and former volunteer for the Craig Beach Volunteer Fire Department in Milton, OH.

An avid do-it-yourselfer, Bull also enjoyed fishing. Most importantly, he loved his family and was a wonderful husband and father.

In addition to his parents, Bull is survived by wife Breynn Schuster Bailey; children Ciarra Jackson, Tyler Bailey and Lane Bailey, all of Manteo; brother Shelby “Skip” Bailey and wife Mindy; niece Laci Bailey; and nephew Kullen Bailey, all of South Carolina.

A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on August 31 at Twiford Colony Chapel, Manteo with Pastor Stephen Wescott officiating. The family will receive friends and relatives one hour prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Roanoke Island Volunteer Fire Department, PO Box 1033, Manteo, NC 27954.
