Gregory D. George

Gregory Dalton George, 50, of Elizabeth City, died August 29, 2020 at his residence. He was born February 28, 1970 in Boston, Mass. to the late Dallard Dalton George Jr. and Miriam Katherine Hennegan George. He was a heavy equipment operator for Thrasher Sand Company and a guitarist with the band Rise of Titan.

He is survived by son Chance D. George of Mich.; fiancé Lisa Reed Kight of the residence; sister Paula Cox of Ayden; and granddaughter Quindalin Rae George.

A memorial service will be held September 5, 2020 at 2 p.m. at Twiford Memorial Chapel with the Rev. F. Joe Griffith officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Memorial gifts may be made to Lisa Reed Kight, 383 Tull’s Creek Road, Moyock, NC 27958.
