2020 Holiday Challenge centers on weight maintenance, not loss

Many Americans gain between one and five pounds each holiday season. It might not sound like much, yet most people never manage to lose those extra pounds.

Enter the 14th annual Eat Smart, Move More, Maintain, Don’t Gain! Holiday Challenge. Instead of focusing on trying to lose weight, this free seven-week challenge provides strategies and resources to help maintain weight throughout the holiday season.

The 2020 Holiday Challenge will be held November 16 through December 31. Registration does not close and people can sign up at any time at https://esmmweighless.com/holidaychallenge/.

For more information or accommodations for persons with disabilities, contact Olivia Patchel at the Currituck Extension via email at olivia_patchel@ncsu.edu or by phone at 252-232-2261.
