Wanchese – James A. Mills Jr., 74, passed away suddenly after surgery in Chesapeake, VA on November 5, 2020. Jim was preceded in death by his wife, Joanne Sweet Mills and his brother William Mills. James was born in Norfolk, VA and worked in radio for most of his life, twenty in the local radio market.

Jim is survived by his daughter, Michelle Gray (Darrell) of Wanchese; his son, James A. Mills III (Stephanie) of Wanchese, NC; son, Christopher Mills (Ava) of Raleigh, NC; four grandchildren, Nicole, Hayden, Abbie and Hannah; and one sister, Patricia Nonaka of Wanchese, NC

In accordance with Jim’s wishes, he will be cremated, and his celebration of life will be planned at a future time.
