Leslie James Evans Sr., 87, of Kill Devil Hills, died November 4, 2020 at Spring Arbor of the Outer Banks. He was born October 5, 1933 in Woodland, the son of Ralph B. and Mary (Joyner) Evans of Rich Square.

He was predeceased by brother Ralph Henry Evans; sisters Ruth E. Jones, Thelma E. Nowell and Mary Ellen Goodwin; daughter Cathy Ann Evans and wife Laura Jeanette Evans.

Survivors include daughter Terry E. Lassiter and husband Joe; sons Leslie James Evans Jr. and wife Jill and Mark K. Evans and wife Lisa of Kill Devil Hills; and grandchildren Dillon M. Lassiter and wife Kayla; Morgan Grace Lassiter and fiancé Brian; Matthew Evans, Katelynn Evans, Logan Evans and Karsyn Evans and Haley Anne Evans and Colby Bryce Evans.
