John Michael Acierno, 78, of Kill Devil Hills, died November 12, 2020 at Vidant Medical Center in Greenville.
Born in Newark, NJ on October 12, 1942, he was the son of the late Bernadette Ferris Acierno and Rocco Acierno.
John is survived by wife Carol Ross-Acierno; daughter Brooke Acierno (Michael Reid) of Bordentown, NJ; son John M. Acierno Jr. (Jennifer) of Arkansas; grandchildren Liam Acierno Reid, Jonathan Acierno and Nicholas Acierno; and brother Toby Acierno (Betty) of Stuart, Fla.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sister Diane Einhorn.
A Catholic funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on November 20 at Twiford Colony Chapel in Manteo with Deacon Al Hallatt officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Special Olympics (2200 Gateway Centre Blvd Ste 201, Morrisville, NC 27560 or online at sonc.net).
