Cape Hatteras Secondary’s volleyball team defeated Mattamuskeet in three sets Friday, Nov. 20 in Buxton.

Cape Hatteras won 25-8, 25-9 and 25-11. In the last set, Cape Hatteras Senior Laura Hooper scored 10 points serving in the set that went two rounds.

Cape Hatteras played Bear Grass Charter Monday, Nov. 23 in Buxton. On Tuesday, the Lady Hurricanes were scheduled to travel to Perquimans.

Cape Hatteras plays at home again Tuesday, Dec. 1 at 4:30 p.m. against Mattamuskeet.

According to MaxPreps, the Cape Hatteras Secondary volleyball players are seniors Laura Hooper, Rubie Shoemaker, McKayla Gordon, and Evan Augustson; juniors Jennifer Mohnal, Yoselyn Gabriel, Jobell Porter and Kaleigh Canning; sophomores Maleia Quidley, Grace Shoemaker, Lily Ratliff, Christina O’Neal and Molly Hanburger; and freshman Evela Chandler.
