Betty Newcomb Hamlett, of Kill Devil Hills, died December 3. Betty was born on July 2, 1932 in Scuffletown, Va. She was preceded in death by son Rusty Hamlett.

Betty is survived by sons Wayne Hamlett (Teresa), Ronnie Hamlett and Dale Hamlett (Linda); daughter Reda Hollon (Jeff); and grandchildren Gary (Lizzie), Tina, Brandon (CeCe), Stephanie, Alicia (Wolf), Ashley (Ryan) and Casey (Brandon); and four great-grandchildren.
