Thirty-two additional COVID-19 cases reported in Dare County

The Dare County Department of Health and Human Services announced on Sunday, December 20 that it had been notified of 32 additional COVID-29 test results.

DCDHHS reports 1380 total positive COVID-19 cases in Dare County, of which 899 are county residents and 481 are non-residents. Of the total cases, 664 are male and 716 are female and the breakdown of ages is 171 age 17 and under, 206 age 18-24, 503 age 25-49, 312 age 50-64 and 188 age 65 and over.

Of the 899 resident cases, 797 are reported to be recovered/asymptomatically cleared, five have died and one has died from other/non-COVID causes. Of the 96 active positive cases, eight are hospitalized and 88 are in home isolation.

Of the 481 non-resident cases, 382 are reported to be recovered/asymptomatically cleared, one is in isolation in Dare and 98 transferred isolation to their home county.
