Martha Ann Midgett Beasley, 75, of Wanchese, died January 19, 2021 in Norfolk, Va.  Marty, as she was best known, was born October 18, 1945, to the late George Lewis and Beatrice Midgett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Sheldon, Claude, Jackson and Ronnie Midgett and sisters Carolyn Johnson and Laura Jones.

Marty is survived by her loving husband of 58 years Henry Roscoe Beasley and their children Mike Beasley, Brent Beasley (Christie), all of Wanchese and Melanie Young (Norman) of Edenton; siblings Isaac Midgett, Janice Tillett, Beatrice Midgett and Betty Duncan; ten grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

The family is honoring Marty’s preference for cremation and they are planning a private memorial service for a future time.
