Dare school board meets Tuesday
The Dare County Board of Education will meet in special session on Tuesday, Feb. 9, 2021 at 4 p.m. at First Flight High School in Kill Devil Hills.
The purpose of the meeting is for the board to meet with its attorney in closed session to preserve the attorney-client privilege as provided in N.C.G.S. 143-318.11(a)(3); and to consider confidential personnel matters as provided in N.C.G.S. 143-318.11(a)(6).
The regular monthly meeting of the board will follow at 5 p.m.
Both meetings will be held virtually for the general public due to COVID-19 restrictions on mass gatherings. Live audio of the meetings will be available on the Dare County Schools website at daretolearn.org. A form to submit public comments for the regular monthly meeting will also be available on the Dare County Schools website 48 hours prior to the meeting.
Rather than set up a special called meeting to discuss the reopening of schools, the Dare Board of Education will take up school reopening at its Feb. 9 meeting.
