Small fruit and orchard winter maintenance class set at Currituck Extension

The North Carolina Cooperative Extension Currituck County Center will be offering a 2 hour outdoor, hands-on class at the teaching orchard to discuss winter maintenance. The class will cover pruning, mulching, dormant season fungicide sprays, site selection, planting and more. This in-person, hand-on class will be limited in attendance.
Due to current COVID-19 regulations, participants must wear a mask throughout the duration of the class and maintain 6 feet distance between each other. The class will be offered three times for nine people in each class. Classes will begin at the Currituck County Extension Office, located at 120 Community Way in Barco, from 10 a.m. until noon on March 1, 3 and 5. Classes will be held rain or shine.
