Eagle Scout project benefits Kitty Hawk Elementary students
Kitty Hawk Elementary School students can now use a new communication board with symbols that will allow them to interact with peers on the playground.
Built and installed by former KHES student David Meggs in order to fulfill the requirements for Eagle Scout, this project was a collaboration between KHES teachers Rebecca Shealey, Sara White, Eagle Scout candidate Meggs and Assistant Principal Lisa Colvin.
Funding was made possible through a community grant sponsored by Kitty Hawk Walmart and the lumber was donated by Good Measure Graphics.
