Dare County Board of Commissioners convene March 1 at 9 a.m. in the commissioners meeting room at 954 Marshall C. Collins Dr. in Manteo.

The meeting agenda opens with a public hearing on Dare County Home Health and Hospice. On Feb. 1, the board passed a “Resolution of Intent to consider sale or otherwise convey its home health and hospice agency … in a manner that ensures the continued provision of quality health care to the community it serves.”
Dave Peterson, central regional director with Trillium Health Resources, will deliver the agency’s annual report. In 2020, the agency served a total of 1,069 people in Dare County. For mental health, the agency provided services to 734 people and for substance use, 285 people. The agency delivered services to 98 people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Dare County Waterways Commission brings its long-range work plan to the board.
The board will consider a proclamation for March 2021 as the 19th annual March for Meals Month.
