Brittany Raffa named Outer Banks Hospital Employee of the Month for March

Brittany Raffa, program coordinator of community outreach and development, is The Outer Banks Hospital’s March 2021 Employee of the Month. She joined The Outer Banks Hospital in June 2019.

“Since she hit the ground running on day one, Raffa has been an amazing fit with TOBH’s culture. She is positive, polite and always willing to help with anything that is asked of her,” stated a press release from the hospital. “Her effervescent personality is a breath of fresh air to all who are lucky enough to know her.

“Raffa’s attention to detail and follow through, her willingness to help at any level, and enthusiastic commitment to our core values makes working with her a joy. No matter the challenge, she is up to the task and handles it with grace and confidence. Her bright demeanor is apparent in every aspect of her work and she is a pleasure to be around.”

In addition to her role in community outreach and development, Raffa filled a gap in HR operations for a three-month span in 2020. She has also helped to support several other areas in need. During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Raffa also worked inside the hospital helping to screen patients and visitors and continues to work at the hospital COVID-19 vaccine clinics.

“Raffa became an integral member of our hospital team the day she arrived. Her passion for the hospital and its mission has led to increased efficiency and new and innovative ideas. She truly lives the values of the hospital and richly deserves recognition as the hospital employee of the month,” stated the announcement.

Upon hearing that she had been chosen as the Employee of the Month, Raffa stated, “I feel extremely honored to be recognized as the March Employee of the Month. Since living on the Outer Banks for a summer in college, it was always a dream to return and work at The Outer Banks Hospital.”

She continued, “The reality is even better than the dream as I thoroughly love what I do every day, alongside world-class colleagues, all while making a difference in our community. The team we have here at The Outer Banks Hospital is unmatched and this recognition could easily be shared among all of my teammates. I want to personally thank my work family for their nominations and support since day one; all of the successes would not be possible without them by my side!”
