Mark Owens, of Kitty Hawk, 51 April 13, 2021 in Barco after a battle with cancer. Born in Virginia Beach, Va. on March 7, 1970, he was the son of the late David and Evelyn Owens.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by paternal grandparents David and Margaret Owens; maternal grandparents Zadoke and Anne Melson; and brother Brian Owens.

Mark is survived by sister Sharon Carroll; brother Todd Owens (Kim); sister-in-law Beth Owens; nieces, a nephew and lifelong friends.

A celebration of Mark’s life will be held at the Currituck Sound Park (8955 Caratoke Hwy, Point Harbor, NC 27964) on May 16, 2021 at 3:30 p.m. Donations may be made to the Corolla Wild Horse Fund, https://www.corollawildhorses.com/.
