Manteo Middle finishes regular football season undefeated, faces Perquimans for playoff game

The Manteo Middle School football team has finished its regular season undefeated. The team’s 5-0 standings put them in first place.

The Braves are set to face Perquimans Middle School for a playoff game on Wednesday, May 5 at Manteo Middle School at 6 p.m.

MMS football team members are Jack Woodson (1), William White (5), Jackson Gaskill (9), David Fisher (10), Taylor Granitzki (12), Conner Pearce (20), Daylen O’Neal (22), Cam Sylvester (24), Brandt Williams (32), J.D. Perry (50), David Hoppe (52), Landon Spencer (55), Parker Gregory (58), Landon Sawyer (60), Finn Schultz (62), Erlin Zavala (75), Samuel Cage (80), Caleb Noone (81), Meade Shackelford (85) and Jaheem Banks (90). Levi Curles is the head coach and Marc Mitchum and James Dortch are assistant coaches.

Reported final scores for each of the team’s games are: Manteo-Perquimans 14-6; Manteo-Moyock 46-6; Manteo-Camden 64-0; Manteo-Currituck won by forfeit and Manteo-First Flight 14-6.
