Paul Edwards McRae, 75, of Elizabeth City, died May 2, 2021 at home. Born in Portsmouth, Va. on October 23, 1945 to the late James A. McRae and Helen Dungan McRae, he was the husband of Linda Dunkirk McRae since their marriage in 1981. He served his country honorably in the Army National Guard

In addition to wife Linda, he is survived by sons Paul McRae Jr. (Julie) and Edward Ruskowsky III; daughter Diane Zeuner; sister Elizabeth Dudley; and grandchildren Justin Dail, Lynnzy Zeuner, Colby McRae and Baxter Ruskowsky. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by grandson Jonathan Dail and brother James A. McRae Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on May 15 at Twiford Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Clay Manos officiating. The family will receive visitors immediately following the service at the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date at Meadow Brooke Cemetery in Suffolk, Va.
