Effie Ann Copeland Jones, 84, of Moyock, died May 11, 2021 at Chesapeake Regional Medical Center. She was born January 11, 1937 in Currituck to the late Milton Melvin Copeland and Jennie Lucille Rutter Copeland and was the widow of George Gaskin Jones Sr.

She is survived by daughter Phyllis Ann Detmer (Keith); sons Raymond Lee Jones (Cheryl), George Gaskins Jones Jr. (Leona) and George Curtis Jones; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held May 17 at Twiford Memorial Chapel. Twiford Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City is serving the family.  www.TwifordFH.com.
