Parts of Sir Walter Raleigh Street in Manteo temporarily closed Thursday

A contractor hired by the Town of Manteo Water and Sewer Department will be repairing a sewer line on Sir Walter Raleigh Street Thursday, May 20 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Portions of Sir Walter Raleigh Street will be temporarily closed from Uppowoc Avenue to Lord Essex Avenue while work is in progress.

“Staff from the Manteo Police Department and the Water and Sewer Department will be on site to provide guidance to motorists, including assistance for local traffic, so please follow their directions when you are in the work zone,” stated an announcement from the town.
