George Alfred Byberg Jr., 62, of Camden, died May 25, 2021 at home. Born in Pensacola, Fla. on August 8, 1958 to the late George Alfred Byberg and Patricia Maines Byberg, he was the husband of Gail Bearstler Byberg. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy and at the U.S. Coast Guard base

In addition to his wife, he is survived by daughter Jenny Chambers (James); son Christian Byberg; sisters Bridgette Purrington (Mark) and Pat Julien (Mike); brothers Mark Byberg (Mary) and Peter Byberg (Sharon); and grandchild Ashlynn Meadow Chambers.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on June 19 at Twiford Memorial Chapel with Pastor Mike Collins, Pastor Greg Owens and Pastor John Dupont officiating. Military honors rendered by the U.S. Navy and the William Clarence Jackson VFW Post #6060. A private inurnment will be held at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
