Wiley Ray Sawyer, 82, of Hertford, died June 13, 2021 at home. He was born February 12, 1939 in Chesapeake, Va. to the late Charles Ray Sawyer and Elizabeth Woolslayer Sawyer.

Survivors include nephews Charles R. “Chuck” Sawyer and wife Donna and Michael R. Sawyer and wife Missy and niece Robin D. Baliles. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers Charlie Ray Sawyer and Robert William Marshall.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on June 22 at Twiford Memorial Chapel with Minister Kevin Reiver officiating. Twiford Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City is serving the family. www.TwifordFH.com.
