Gary Raven Cooper, 65, of Elizabeth City, died July 5, 2021 at home. Born February 29, 1956 in Pasquotank County to the late Dan Cooper and Claudie Smith Cooper, he was the widower of Sandra Elisabeth Weaver Cooper.

Survivors include daughter Teresa Brower (Frank); sons Rick Gray (Ingrid) and Jimmy Gray (Stephanie); brother Danny Cooper; 12 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by son Gary Raven Cooper Jr. and two sisters.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on July 13 at Twiford Memorial Chapel with Mike Hawkins officiating. Memorial donations may be made in his name to the SPCA of Northeastern NC, 102 Enterprise Dr., Elizabeth City, NC  27909.
