Southern Shores – On August 12, 2021, Patricia Cole Cooke left our world and entered Heaven. She was a woman who always had a smile on her face, a hug at arm’s length, and knew no strangers.

Through her 85 years of life, she gave much of herself. She was a teacher for 19 years before retiring to stay home with her family. Patty lived a life full of love and fulfilment. Even though she is gone now, her legacy lives on in all who knew her. She was an incredible wife, mother, grandmother, teacher and friend. Her memory will live on in all of our hearts forever. She is preceded in death by her parents JT and Joyce Cole.

She leaves behind her husband of 62 years, LH Cooke Jr.; her children, Denise Stone (Mike Stone) and Pam Cooke; a granddaughter, Lisa Cooke; a great-grandson, Cole Horton, and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church. A reception at Duck Woods County Club will follow the service. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Kitty Hawk United Methodist Church 803 W Kitty Hawk Rd, Kitty Hawk, NC 27949 or Albemarle Home Care and Hospice 1507 N Road Street, Suite 2, Elizabeth City, NC 27909.
