Nevenka Harverson, a Southern Shores resident, has announced the publication of her first book, Parenting by the Signs.

Harverson, who has lived in the Chicahauk area for 10 years, moved to the area after raising eight children in Pittsburgh. She has been offering professional astrology consultations and this year self-published Parenting by the Signs, which “couples more than thirty years of Astrology study with as many years of parenting experience.”

“Intended for new parents or anyone who wants to make a difference in a child’s life this beautiful coffee table book gives an overview of the characteristics of your child based in Astrology,” stated a press release. “Its large format with candid photographs of actual children in each sign, along with great suggestions on how to best support that child, makes this a nice coffee table book and an ideal baby shower gift.”

Book signings are scheduled for Sunday, September 5  at 7 p.m. at Ascension Studio in Kill Devil Hills (across from Walgreens) and Monday, September 6 at 11:30 a.m. at Outer Banks Yoga in Kitty Hawk (near Hilton Garden Inn).
