Donald Rutt Witters, of Kitty Hawk, died September 3, 2021 of cancer at home. He was born in 1935 in Ephrata, Pa. to the late John W. and Kathryn Z. Witters.

Survivors include wife Faye A. Witters, daughters Dianne S. Ruscher (Chip), Deborah S. Witters (Brad), granddaughter Kristin Ruscher Puech (Philippe) and two great-grandchildren.

A memorial service was held in Manteo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Bridgewater College, Bridgewater, Va.

A celebration of Don’s life will take place at a later date.
