Roanoke Island Garden Club meeting to feature pumpkin theme

Fall is here and the weather is very pleasant for outdoor activities.

This month, many associate pumpkins for decorating and making pumpkin pies. Have you ever painted a pumpkin?

“Paint Your Pumpkins” is the theme of this week’s Roanoke Island Garden Club meeting, which take place on Thursday, October 7 at the Old Swimming Hole off Airport Road, Manteo.

Get the latest headlines sent to you

Members may bring their own lunch and socialize beginning at 12:30 p.m. and the meeting will convene at 1 p.m. Pumpkins, paint and brushes will be provided.

Guests are welcome to attend and share their creative painting skills alongside club members.
