Eva Marie Copeland (Cartwright) Harris, 89, died October 30, 2021 in Elizabeth City.

She was born in Moyock on December 11, 1931 to the late Archie Cecil Copeland and Bessie Eva Sawyer Copeland.

Survivors include sons Aubrey Lee (Peggy) Cartwright and Gary (Deborah) Cartwright, grandchildren Ian Cartwright, Joel (Erin) Cartwright, Lauren (Jason) de Ferraz, Erica (Corey) Rzucidlo, Morgan (Matt) Thompson; six great-grandchildren and extended family.

She was preceded in death by husband Dilworth “Skeeter” Harris, first husband Aubrey Cartwright, siblings Archie Cecil “AC” Copeland Jr., Hallett Copeland, Elizabeth Copeland McClees and Shirley Copeland Luton.

The family will receive friends at Twiford Memorial Chapel, Elizabeth City on  November 3 from 6-8 p.m. A private graveside service will be held at West Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
