Laura Alberta (Bert) Smith Nelson died October 30, 2021. A native of Dresden, NY, she was born September 3, 1930, the daughter of Carrie Emma Crawford and Horatio Seymour Smith. She was preceded in death by husband Paul Dorsey Nelson Jr. and sisters Anna Grace Smith Preziosi and Marian Smith Tysitee.

Survivors include daughter Andrea Nelson Boone (Jack) and son Paul Dorsey Nelson III; sister Joanna Smith (Marco Errico); grandchildren Dr. Alison Laura Boone, Braden Elizabeth Boone (Shawn Levy) and Joshua Nelson Boone (Emily); and other extended family.
