Waves for Food drive set for Thursday

The Cape Hatteras Secondary Surf Club is sponsoring its Second Annual Waves for Food Drive on Thursday, December 16.
“5 cans, 5 waves” is the motto.
The event starts after school, around 3:45 p.m., at the first jetty at the previous location of the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse. Donate canned goods for the local food pantry and catch five waves (or more) while there.
Last year, the event gathered 100 cans and raised $100.
