Tyrrell County Schools returns to mandatory mask policy

During an emergency called meeting on Thursday, January 13, the Tyrrell County Board of Education voted 4-1 to return to a mandatory mask policy for the district.
Effective Friday, January 14, 2022, all students, staff and guests are required to wear a NCDHHS-approved mask in all Tyrrell County Schools buildings. Further information can be found at https://bit.ly/ncfcm, stated a TCS news release.
The district will have extra masks on hand for individuals who may need one.
Students or staff members who had prior approved mask accommodations as a medical exemption are allowed to return to those previous measures, stated the release.
