Do you want to start seeds indoors, but you just don’t have the space? Are you looking for a more efficient way to start and grow seeds? If so, an upcoming class on soil blocking is for you.

Soil blocking is a perfect fit for home gardeners and a viable seed starting method for farmers and growers of all types. Using this easy to manage, self-contained method you can support up to 240 seedlings in the footprint of a 12” x 24” table top grow light.

The Currituck County Master Gardener℠ Volunteer’s Speakers Bureau is presenting this free, hands-on class on February 17 from 9 to 10 a.m. at the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Currituck County Center, located at 120 Community Way in Barco. Register for this event at https://soilblocking1.eventbrite.com.

Currently, masks are not required for indoor in-person classes but are encouraged for unvaccinated individuals. Please be aware this could change in light of changing state or local Covid-19 mandates.
