In-depth conversations at Manteo Middle School

Eighth grade English students at Manteo Middle School participated in a Socratic seminar in the library Thursday, January 20, 2022.

They had an opportunity to have in-depth conversations with their peers about their interpretation of the novel “The Giver.”

Students explained why or why not they agreed with concepts in the novel while citing evidence from the novel to support their opinion.
