The Outer Banks Anglers Club will hold its new year “kickoff” monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, January 31, 2022. Attendees are asked to arrive 15 minutes early for check-in.

The featured guest speaker will be John D. “Jack” Horst, United States Coast Guard Auxiliary commander, Flotilla 16-7, serving the Outer Banks area. Topics covered will include USCG vessel checks, private watercraft operations and how best to enjoy recreational boating as safely as possible on local waters.

The meeting will be held at the Kitty Hawk United Church, located at 803 W. Kitty Hawk Road in Kitty Hawk.
