Sherwood Dorsey Johnson Jr., 78, of Powells Point, died January 26, 2022 at home. He was born in Norfolk, Va. on March 13, 1943 to the late Sherwood Dorsey Johnson Sr. and Mary Emily Howard Johnson. Sherwood served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force.

Survivors include daughters Vicky Fisher (Carey), Shannon Rose (Kenny), Theresa Johnson (Travis) and Rebeka Johnson (Robert); sons Sherwood D. Johnson IV (Sarah) and Christian Johnson; brother Charles R. Johnson (Kathy); grandchildren Kristen (Charles), Brittney, Benjamin (Allison), Richard, Christina, Kenton, McKenzie, Tristan and Jordan; and three great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by brother Ross Edward Johnson; sister Judith Follett; and son Sherwood Dorsey Johnson III.

Celebration of life will be held at 4 p.m. on February 12 at Kilmarlic Golf Club, Powells Point. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, P. O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX  75284. Twiford Funeral Home is assisting the family. www.TwifordFH.com
