The North Carolina Cooperative Extension Administrative Professionals’ Association (NCCEAPA) has announced that applications are being accepted for the Herter-O’Neal Scholarship. The scholarship is awarded each year to honor the work and dedication of Edith Herter and Frances O’Neal, founding members of NCCEAPA.
This scholarship is targeted toward high school and college students pursuing an associate or bachelor’s degree in business or a business-related field of study. The award amount is $750 and funds are paid directly to the college rather than to the individual and can be withdrawn to defray the cost of tuition and/or books.
Applicants must be a legal resident of North Carolina. Privacy of all applicants will be protected. The Northeast District chapter of NCCEAPA will review the applications, select the finalists and form an outside committee to choose the winner. The winner will be notified by letter.
Applications are available at the Dare County Cooperative Extension Office at 517 Budleigh Street in Manteo. Prospective applicants may also contact administrative assistant Kimberly Armstrong at kwarmstr@ncsu.edu or by phone at 252-473-4290.
Completed applications should be forwarded to Armstrong at the Extension Office by March 17, 2022.
