Brenda Ballance Seymour, 76, of Elizabeth City and Ocracoke, died February 23, 2022 at Elizabeth City Health & Rehabilitation after a short illness. She was the daughter of the late Henry Scarborough Ballance and Doris Sabra Ballance.

Survivors include stepchildren Tammy Seymour Dunnington (Mark), Doug Seymour (Debbie) and David Seymour (Robin) and other family and friends. She was predeceased by husband William Albert Seymour and stepson Bobby Seymour.

Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on March 12, 2022 at the Ocracoke United Methodist Church with private burial in the Ballance Cemetery. Donations can be sent to Ocracoke United Methodist Church in her memory.
