Ferebee Jean Price Matthews, 85, of Elizabeth City, died March 29, 2022 at home. She was born February 6, 1937 in Henderson to the late Homer A. Price and Lois Linwood Weaver Price.

Survivors include daughter Deborah Jean Halnon; sons James William Matthews Jr. and Charles Price Matthews; brother Bruce Price; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by husband James William Matthews  and son Russell Duane Matthews.

Memorial service will be held April 7 at 2 p.m. at Twiford Funeral Home with burial in West Lawn Cemetery.  Twiford Funeral Home is serving the family. www.TwifordFH.com
