Bethany United Methodist Church, located at 101 Old Wharf Road in Wanchese, has several Lenten and Easter activities planned.

Palm Sunday worship with guest The Lighhouse Brass will be held April 10 at 11 a.m.

On Thursday, April 14 at 7 p.m., celebrate the Passover meal (symbolic meal), foot washing and holy communion.

The sanctuary will be open for prayers on Good Friday, April 15, from 9 a.m. until noon for prayer and silent meditation. Tenebrae service will be held at 7 p.m.

An Easter egg hunt for babies through fifth graders will be held Saturday, April 16 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m.

On Easter Sunday, April 17, a sunrise service will be held at 6:15 a.m. at Cudworth Cemetery with coffee and doughnuts afterward at the church fellowship hall. An Easter cantata will be held at 11 a.m.

An Easter egg hunt and lock-in sleepover for middle school through high school ages will be held from Monday, April 18 at 7 p.m. through Tuesday, April 19 at 9:30 a.m.
