Omega Clark “OC” Abbott died April 21, 2022. He was born on June 1, 1930 to Aliene Pegram Abbott and Bryant Clifton Abbott in Vance County.

Survivors include children Gregory Clark Abbott (Elizabeth), Hal Gilliam Abbott (Terri), Andrea Abbott Houghtaling (Michael), Melissa Ferrell (Danny) and step-daughter Kelly Archer; sister Ferebee Allen;  17 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by wife Judith Steltzner Abbott; his parents; sisters Ann Pulley and Nell Vaughan; and grandson Adam Clark Houghtaling.
