Dare Days 2022 festivities will begin at the new College of the Albemarle (COA) Dare Campus on Friday, June 3 from 6-10 p.m. “The main highway into Town is lined with local businesses and is the gateway that greets all who live in and visit our community each and every day,” states the Town of Manteo. “COA’s beautiful new campus will be the site of various diverse programs offering a quality education. Grab your lawn chair or fuzzy blanket and spread out on the lawn while enjoying yummy food from local food trucks, jamming out to local bands, and smiling as you watch kids of all ages having lots of BIG fun with all the lively activities throughout the evening. Follow the sidewalk downtown to continue experiencing the vibrant and lovely Town of Manteo at the First Friday festivities too!”
Friday’s lineup includes Steel Drums, Blue Crab Boys and Trick Fly.

The weekend celebration wraps up on Sunday, June 5 from 2-4 p.m. with a gospel concert at the Pea Island Cookhouse on Sir Walter Raleigh Street. “Look for the Keeper Richard Etheridge statue that stands tall at the roundabout waiting to share his story and see you all!” stated the Town of Manteo. “Grab a drink at the old-fashioned lemonade stand and indulge in some sensational local sweets while relaxing and enjoying a wide array of music provided by our local churches and other groups. What a delight!”

“Dare Days 2022 is all about celebrating and connecting communities at the grass roots level in order to share our wonderful and diverse culture and rich history through this very special event,” stated the Town of Manteo. “Also, don’t forget to shop and dine at the many local shops and restaurants throughout the weekend.
