Fritz Boyden youth fishing tourney set for Wednesday

The Fritz Boyden Memorial Youth Fishing Tournament is set for Wednesday, June 15 at four Dare County fishing piers.

At Outer Banks Fishing Pier, Nags Head Fishing Pier, Avalon Pier and Jennette’s Pier, participants will be in one of two age groups: 4 to 9 or 10 to 16. Registration begins at 7 a.m. and fishing will be from 8 a.m. until noon.

The presentation of awards will be held at Jennette’s Pier in Nags Head at 1 p.m. Prizes include $500 in cash door prizes as well as a rod and reel and trophy in multiple different categories. All participants will receive a t-shirt.
