An early morning fire heavily damaged a duplex in Duck, according to a Town of Duck press release. All occupants are reported safe.

The Duck Fire Department responded in the early hours of Monday, June 13 to a structure fire located at 126 Quarterdeck Drive, a duplex in the Port Trinitie Condos. The address contained units 11 and 12.

Unit 11 was occupied by the co-owners and sustained severe damage. Unit 12, which adjoins unit 11, was occupied by a visiting family and, while the unit itself sustained heavy damage, most of the visitors’ belongings were salvageable, according to the release.
