Ed2Go online classes offer new advanced career training

Beaufort County Community College’s continuing education Ed2Go courses make taking affordable, high-quality, online, instructor-led courses simple. New advanced career training courses offer professionals opportunities to advance in their field and some even give students the opportunity to earn industry-recognized certifications. These courses are not for college transfer and are not covered under Beaufort Promise, but classes start for as little as $70.

Participants can enroll to feed their curiosity, explore a new career field before committing to it or meet continuing education requirements. Courses offer a fun, convenient and highly interactive learning forum. Focus is placed on creating supporting communities for learners of every age. During the pandemic lockdowns and remote learning periods, many learners grew comfortable with online courses, so the college is offering more through Ed2Go.

Ed2Go offers over 300 instructor-facilitated online courses in areas such as information technology, computer applications, medicine, veterinary medicine, languages, business skills, soft skills, teacher professional development and crafts. All courses run for six weeks, are project-oriented and include lessons, quizzes, hands-on assignments, discussion areas and supplementary links. You can complete the course entirely from your home or office.

New sessions of instructor-led courses begin regularly. They last six weeks, with two new lessons being released weekly for a total of 12 lessons. A dedicated professional instructor facilitates every class, pacing learners, answering questions, giving feedback and facilitating discussions.

New advance career training courses let students train for a new career, career advancement or industry certification. Courses are designed by a team of professionals from each respective field, who work to provide the student with effective web-based learning experiences. Students learn in-demand skills recognized by employers. Many courses prepare student for a national certification. Students can start anytime and work at their own pace to complete it in three to six months. Textbooks and learning materials are included and support is offered via phone, email or live chat seven days a week. Expert instructor assistance and career counselors are provided.

Advanced career training courses include certified administrative professional, information security training, certified information security manager (CISM), chemical plant operations, maintenance technician, die setter, certified paralegal, freight broker/agent training, activity director (for nursing homes), professional recovery coach, certified medical administrative assistant with medical billing and coding and veterinary office manager, among others.
